How to unlock this discount
Open the PlayStation App on your phone or go to playstation.com and sign in to your account.
Navigate to Settings > Subscription (or Account > Subscription Management).
Select 'Cancel Subscription' — this is labeled as turning off auto-renew. Your current subscription remains active until expiry; this does NOT immediately end your access.
During the cancellation flow, PlayStation should present a retention screen offering 25% off a 12-month renewal at your current tier.
Accept the discounted renewal offer. Your subscription will be extended by 12 months at the reduced price.
After accepting, you can optionally turn off auto-renew again (Sony treats this as a 'cancellation' but your newly purchased 12-month period remains fully active). This positions you to potentially receive another retention offer next year.
Insider Tips
Turn off auto-renew well before your expiration date — some users report the offer appearing immediately, while others see it closer to expiry
Try both the PS App (mobile) and the PlayStation website; some users only see the offer on one platform
